It Started With One Child

Our founder, Anna, has always been a maker at heart. From the time she was small, she found joy in creating — in the texture of materials, the satisfaction of building something from nothing, the quiet focus that comes from working with your hands.

When her firstborn needed fine motor skill therapy, Anna saw firsthand how powerful purposeful play could be. She also saw a gap: the tools and materials that truly supported sensory development and hands-on learning were hard to find, hard to trust, and rarely designed with real families in mind.

So she built Valia Co.
